I knew I should have hit bed before midnight last night, and even told myself as much. Self, I said, you should be in bed right now, you know how cranky you get when you wake up on little sleep.
See, I just whined about nothing (and then deleted it). Point proven.
Before I woke up, I was dreaming about the Band of Brothers boys with some SGA mixed in there, or something. The clearest part I remember was Nixon was apparently married to Carla Jean Moss from No Country for Old Men, and they were walking down a street together. And Nix was all, "hey, I have a cool submarine," trying to impress her, but he knew only Winters fell for that, and he watched as Carla Jean walked away. SHE WAS HIS BEARD, it made me LOL. Then Luz was being Luz right before there was some kind of attack and everyone started getting ready.

Hey guys! Before I'll spend a year in Australia I have a stopover in Singapore for 5 days in mid August and I was wondering if anyone can give me some advice in regards to accomodation?
I'm looking for somewhere inexpensive, dorms are fine (as long as there's the option of all girls dorms) and the requirements are that it's not located in a seedy area (I have no clue where they are if there are any) and you know (from experience or otherwise) showers, toilets etc are good, clean and private. Internet access and breakfast included preferred unless you guys can tell me it's easy to get both in the city.
Any tips on what to-do and see are always much appreciated as well. What are must sees? What is overrated? I am especially looking for more Asian sights (even though I know the country is very Western) and preferally cheap/free things as I am a backpacker ;)

Work wasn't too bad at all today considering the following:
Sandy was the manager on duty
It was just me, the new girl, and this one girl who really annoys me/isn't much use half the time
I had a headache from hell and I felt really dizzy...it's starting to feel like I might have a cold or something.
But it was almost enjoyable (I think the only thing that made it not enjoyable was that the annoying girl was...well annoying and I felt like crap). But I managed to get through it fairly fast and be in a good mood so it was a very good day as far as I am concerned. And I got a cookie and peppermint tea for on the way home. I might make that my pop/things I shouldn't have from timmie's replacement drink. It's for real sweet/satisfying without being bad for you. And you don't need the sugar in it either for it to taste good. I used to get sugar in it but I got one today with nothing in it and it was delicious!
My sunburn hurt like heck with the shirt though. It didn't feel nice at all...especially when I got sweaty. :S Hopefully tomorrow I feel better. I have to do dishes before work tomorrow. Then Tuesday will be a day filled of Walmart I am sure. I want to get the undersheets for the bed set I bought (now that I know Bryan approves lol). Gotta stop at Dayna's Mom's to give/receive stuff and a visit would be cool. And the home for roleplay and probably watching something. Both Dayna and I have nothing to do for that day! Then work again on Wednesday. Then Thursday we are free again. We will most likely start the duplex/moving stuff such as cleaning and all that.
Friday I'm not sure about cause I haven't had a chance to talk about plans yet. My Grandmother wants me to come over for brunch and Bryan wants me to stay the night in Windsor and go see Hell Boy 2 with him. Problem with both of those being Dayna has to get into Chatham for working 11am-4pm. (Not to mention I don't know if she would want to watch Hellboy 2). Like I said, much discussion is needed. I might wanna save my money for The Dark Knight.
I used to be excited about the fact that I should only have six shifts left (could be less but shouldn't be more than that...I won't know until I get my last schedule tomorrow) until I'm done at Tim Horton's. But then I realised that when I go to Windsor...the only thing I'll really have available to me is like...call centre and fast food/customer service/minimum wage jobs all over again. :( So why should I be excited about being done when it'll be like a month at the most before I'm into a job that's exactly the same all over again.

Things have mostly been quiet today. My sister wanted Chipotle last night, but we ended up having sushi instead, and then walked around Target for a bit, picked out haircolor for ourselves and I resisted buying a new set of bedsheets and HIMYM season one, which is FINALLY on sale for $20. That's next week. \o/
My next hair appointment is Wednesday, and I think I'm so anxious to get it over with (money-wise) that it bled into my dreams. -_- I spent the entire time trying to get to my hair appointment, but there were obstacles along the way, of course. I didn't like it. D:

Hi guys!
I'm a positive girl from Russia 21 y.o. and I'm going to Belgium at the bigging of August by hitch-hike. I'm going to be in Europe for the first time and unfortunately my English is not good. So I need somebody to go with me. Do u want to keep me a company from Warsaw to Brussels or maybe to travel with me on some cities on this way? I have an experience traveling by hitch-hike trough russian, belorussian an ukrainian cities, but it's really scary for me to travel by europe alone. So, can you help me? =)

 | 01:05 am - SUNFEST WOOT!
Sunfest was a blast! Lots and lots of fun. It was a nice day (albeit really hot in the sun). Man was it beautiful sitting in the grass under a nice big tree though.
At first we just walked around and looked at things. It's a pretty big park and there were LOTS of vendors. Lots of nice things and some cheap things. We didn't actually sit and watch any of the performances, but after getting food (I had vietnamese spring rolls and then persian chicken kabob on a pita, and stole a bit of Dayna's Pad Thai) we sat and ate under said big tree. We hung out and talked and just relaxed (and it was so beautiful). Dayna's got all the pictures for posting however.
Then we sucked up the heat and once again made our rounds, only to break and sit while we waited for my brother and his friend to meet up with us again after buying swords...which Adrian sliced his finger open on. Then we grabbed some dessert. Chocolate covered fruit and churros. SO YUMMY. We relaxed in the shade again while Jay and Lacie went to find their own dessert. Then when they got back I ALMOST felt the baby move but it stopped by the time I had my hand on her belly. I was like OMG WHY! On the way out of the park I ran into Helen from United Way! She's one of the two ladies I did the meetings with that I had to do minutes for. I was surprised to see her! Though I knew she was going to London on Friday I figured it was just business or family visiting. Never thought I'd see her at Sunfest. It was good to see her away from the office though (saying that makes me feel professional too! LOL).
I didn't buy too much this time. Just another asian purse like last year (except this one was a pale green) and a black purse of the same design for Dayna's Mom cause she wanted one. I also got my Dad's friend his 'roleplaying shirt' (Dayna and I are trying to give everyone shirts for rp sessions that fit their character/role in the group or what not). We want to get one for my Dad that says "When the DM smiles it's already too late" though I haven't gotten to that yet. But the one I my Dad's friend was a black picture with one of those yellow squares (like on bathrooms) with a man with no head and underneath it says "Need head". The story behind this is his character is so powerful that when he hits people they tend to explode and you get covered in blood and guts if you fight near him. Well one day Dave was feeling goofy so he had his character sing a song that starts "Body parts keep falling on my head" and the rest changes per rping session. In the last one he was singing it and the boss bad guy was like wtf crazy elf man? Well, the slaves we had freed didn't know we were down in the captain's area (we're on a ship) and someone lobs the head of one of the guards (helmet and all) down there and Jorel (yes his name is Jorel) catches it with a cat like reflex and whips it at the captain. With Jorel's uber strength the thing broke the captain's freaking arm! And then commenced many Austin Powers-esque "head" jokes as I'm sure you can imagine. So the shirt is perfect.
Then we went to Jack Astor's cause the closest one is in London and it kicks Crabby Joe's ass like wo. Not to mention the fact that we had two hours to kill before Hancock started.
Then we started heading home but I couldn't find the exact turn off for the highway we wanted cause I couldn't find the sign. Didn't matter though cause as we were coming over the overpass we could see that there was a HUGE accident on the highway. Decided to bypass that but as we were turning around we decided to stop at Timmie's. Much fun was had making fun of my driving skills while I tried to find it as it apparently disappeared on me after I'd turned around but I was just looking on the wrong side of the road. Then we got drinks and Bryan's milk ended up to be sour...dated June 10. :S Gross. So they weren't doing proper stock rotation...sounds horrible but people get lazy ALL the time. I know I'm the only one on my shift who (regularily anyway) takes older stuff out and puts the new stuff at the back so that the older stuff gets sold first. So he got a new milk and we were on our way taking the smaller highway. More fun was had making fun of my law breaking skills while turning left on a red light cause I couldn't find the turn. Turns out the Super Pet that I used to use as a landmark is now gone. Thankfully I remembered the street name when I saw it. Cause I was like...wtf! I swore this was it but there is no super pet!
Then we drove for the 1-2 hours and dropped Lacie and Jay off. Now I am off to bed cause I am tired. Tomorrow I must work. Thankfully next week I don't work at United Way as the new person is in. I'm not in until the week after when Amanda is on vacation so that I can help the new girl out as I know (mostly) what goes where.
All in all a good day! :D Even though I got a sun burn that hurts like hell (and yes I put sunscreen on. I burn easily). I is red like a lobster!

Nnnnot much going on here. My sister and I saw Wanted last night, and it was just as awesome as the first time (...and the two or three times I've watched it on this cam download).
Today we walked around the mall where just about every fucking thing was on sale, and I managed to only get myself a badly needed new pair of jeans from American Eagle for $20. No, seriously. They're awesome. And they were only $20.
ETA: I should probably mention the one thing I actually like about my stepmom: no matter what you tell her, she will always think you need new clothes. My sister came back with a bunch of stuff for both of us, all from Victoria's Secret. Now I have new underwear, a couple of cute new camis, and some pajamas. Nice.
Now I need to go sit out in the back yard and read a bit to get the chill of airconditioning off me.
